The dollars you raise help move us closer to a cure.

Every mile that you walk and every dollar that you raise means increased awareness and more dollars for research, services and programs to help those facing the daily challenges of living with MS. The Society spends more money on MS research than any other voluntary health agency in the world, investing some $40 million annually on research programs. This includes more than 350 MS research investigations at the best medical centers, universities and other institutions throughout the United States and abroad. This investment is paying off in significant progress toward finding treatments and in better diagnosis, rehabilitation and symptomatic therapy for people with all forms of MS.

As much fun as we have at Walk MS, the challenge of raising as much money as possible to help move towards a world free of MS is not lost. $223 is the average pledge for all participants in Walk MS, but many walkers raise far more. We believe that you will be able to raise more than your goal. We hope you’ll strive for closer to $6,600 to qualify for our Mission Possible Club, which is raising $1 for every person with MS in our Chapter.  Mission Possible fundraisers receive a plaque and are recognized at our annual Night of A Thousand Stars event.

My Participant Center - allows all registrants to set up personal pages online, send e-mails to family and friends, and track fundraising progress. All participants are strongly encouraged to log on to their Participant Center and use the tools available.

Online Fundraising - When donors donate online, they receive a donation receipt and you receive notification that a donation has been made on your behalf. An online donation is automatically reflected on your personal page allowing accurate and easy tracking.

Fundraising Kit  - after registering, all participants will receive a fundraising kit. This kit includes sample letters, contribution cards, a sponsor pledge form and a number of other items. All participants are welcome to download these forms as needed.

Participant Fundraisers - many participants use events to help spur their fundraising. Participants wishing to publicize their events may do so on our event calendar.  Email Brett Schuette at brett.schuette@nmss.org with the event details and any flier or additional materials required to participate or promote your fundraising event for Walk MS.
