The best time of the year is just around the corner: Walk MS season! Join the movement with thousands of others throughout the Gateway Area Chapter and help us move toward a world free of MS. We can’t do this without you! Walk MS relies on over 300 volunteers in 2011!
Your volunteer efforts bring passion, energy, and resources to the walks, which provide priceless support to the 6,600 people living with MS in our area. Invite your family members, friends, and colleagues to volunteer with you and become part of the movement doing something about MS!
Volunteers come from every walk of life, with many skills and talents. There are many jobs to choose from!

Finish Line Fun & Festivities Volunteer - Assist with the set up of the Walk MS event site to provide a festive and exciting event for volunteers and participants. Cheer, thank, pass out goody bags, and recognize Walk MS participants as they cross the finish line.
Ambassador Volunteer - Decorate the Champs tent and serve as an ambassador for the MS Society and those living with MS.
Safety Volunteer - Help keep walkers safe by actively encouraging walkers to wait and cross with the appropriate lights at busy intersections.

Face Paint Volunteer - Decorate faces of young children or other walk particpants.
Meal Volunteer - Serve food for Walk MS participants and volunteers.
Medical Volunteer - Provide medical attention as needed to injured or exhausted walkers.
Supply Truck Driver and Assistance Volunteer - Distribute the needed supplies and materials to designated areas of the Walk MS route.
Labor Volunteer - Load/unload supply vehicle and place equipment and supplies into designated areas. Volunteers will also assist with the set up of equipment such as tents, tables and chairs according to site plan.

Parking Volunteer - Direct arriving participants and volunteers to parking areas.
Photographer - Take pictures of Walk MS participants and volunteers, team photos, and action pictures of the day’s events. Welcome Table Volunteer - Process registrations for the Walk MS, check-in volunteers,collect money, provide prizes, and answer questions about the Walk MS site, route, and events. Rest Stop Volunteer - Provide refreshments and information for Walk MS participants as they walk the route. |
